The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah confirmed that inspection tours represent a primary pathway to elevating the quality of services provided to the Guests of Allah. These tours monitor adherence to regulatory and operational requirements, as well as identify and address observations, as part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to advance the Hajj and Umrah system in alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Pilgrim Experience Program.
The Ministry explained that it carries out daily inspection tours across various Umrah service locations in cooperation with all relevant entities. Since the start of the 1448 AH Umrah season on Dhul-Hijjah 15, 1447 AH, it has conducted more than 32,000 inspection tours. These covered pilgrim accommodation facilities, Umrah companies and service providers, and various service sites to ensure compliance with regulatory and operational requirements, as well as to detect and resolve observations, thereby enhancing the quality of services delivered to visitors and pilgrims.
During the previous Hajj season, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah executed over 105,000 inspection tours in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. These covered pilgrim accommodation facilities, service provider headquarters, field service centers, and operational sites linked to pilgrim services to verify compliance with regulatory and operational standards, as well as to log and address feedback.
These inspection tours are part of a continuous monitoring framework aimed at evaluating service providers’ performance, ensuring adherence to approved requirements, addressing operational observations, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. This preserves pilgrims’ rights and elevates the quality of their overall experience throughout every stage of the journey.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah reaffirmed its commitment to advancing inspection and monitoring mechanisms and raising the efficiency of field operations to promote compliance, enhance service quality for pilgrims, and continue developing the Hajj and Umrah ecosystem in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
